Feed Pellet Mill Machine is widely used by people who breed animals or people who are engaging in feed pellet production line for business. It can make pelleted feed for chicken, geese, pigeon, rabbit, cow, sheep, cattle, pig, rabbits, and so on. The reason why they make feed pellets is that pellets are a balanced combination of different kinds of nutrition for the better growth of livestock, poultry and other animals.

In recent years the technology of animal feed pellet mill has been mature and advanced, which leads the animal feed pellet industry developing quickly. Today the most widely used feed pellet mill in the market is Flat Die Feed Pellet Mill and Ring Die Feed Pellet Mill.

Ring Die Pellet Mills are widely used to a large scale pellets production line for light industrial and commercial purposes. They are not as widespread as those with flat dies due to the increased complexity of machines and higher cost. As the die’s name suggests, the ring die has a wide cylindrical shape and it is mounted vertically. A surge bin is used to feed biomass materials through a variable speed conditioner before being distributed via the pelleting machine door. A screw auger is useful to put the materials into the pellet machine chamber.

The ring die is equipped with 2-3 press rollers which are rotating with the ring die. After the feed enters the compression chamber through the screw feeder, they are sent between the ring die and the press rollers with a scraper. Under the action of the press rollers, the feed is compressed and going into the ring die holes and shaped as cylindrical objects and cut by a fixed cutter to make particles. Due to its’ high productivity and lower energy consumption, the Ring Die pellet machine is the most widely used pellet mill.

Advantages of Ring Die Pellet Mills
There are two main distinct points of ring die: it generates less wear and tear, since both the inner and outer edges of the roller traverse the same distance; and it is also more energy efficient than a flat die pellet mill design. Roller slip during the pelleting process brings extra friction, but this extra friction is an accelerating element in the production of quality pellets due to the additional heat.

Raw Materials to Make Animal Feed Pellets: To make animal feed pellets by feed pellet mill, we have usually corn/maize, alfalfa, wheat bran, grass, rice, beans, oil cake, etc. Normally the large size raw materials should be pulverized by hammer mill. Protein or other nutrients can also be added to the raw powder.
